The Japanese military constructed Goa Jepang from 1941 to 1942. The cave was built using forced labor, or romusha, by the local residents and was intended as a place for shelter and storage of goods and weapons during World War II. There are sixteen cave holes, each with a depth of about fifteen meters, used for war strategy meetings with allies. Some of the caves are interconnected, providing visitors with an extraordinary view.

Goa Jepang offers a unique attraction that draws tourists. The walls of the cave, made from natural rock, provide a distinctive and intriguing impression. Additionally, the caves offer an extraordinary view, with the Tukad Bubuh river flowing in front of them.

Public Transportation: From Klungkung city center, which is only 6 km from Semarapura and 43 km from Denpasar, you can use public transportation such as buses. Taxis or motorcycle taxis (ojek) are also available around Klungkung.
